David Oistrakh - Very Rare Recordings
This recording are extremely rare. Oistrakh is probably the greatest violinist ever, but strangely he didn´t seem to care to play or record "virtuoso" pieces. At least that´s what most of us thought. I don´t know why this pieces haven´t been re-released yet. This were ripped from very old russian LPs (recorded from 1940 to 1950), so don´t expect the greatest quality here. Anyway, it´s so intereseting to hear Oistrakh play pieces like Zapateado, Carmen Fantasy and Paganini caprices.
